From Customer Dialogue to a Complete Solution
For quite some time now, we have been working with businesses that are looking for a waste management solution for traditional operations involving manual bag emptying.
That need became the starting point for Vira, our new modular wastebasket.
Vira was developed by EWF and is manufactured in-house. Each module has a capacity of 100 liters, and the containers can be arranged to form recycling stations with multiple categories, depending on the site’s needs.
“For some time now, we’ve been receiving inquiries from customers looking for this type of solution, and Vira has emerged from those conversations. It’s very exciting to now be able to expand our offering with a product we’ve developed ourselves,” says Jimmy Björkman, COO of EWF Eco.

Vira is designed for environments with consistent waste streams, where fixed collection schedules and manual bag handling work well.
The modular design makes it easy to adjust the number of fractions for a clear and organized sorting station.
A tiltable bag holder simplifies daily handling, while the fully enclosed design contributes to a uniform and orderly appearance. The result is a flexible sorting station that fits naturally into both the environment and the facility’s existing routines.
