Webinar Series on Safe Charging of Electric Bike Batteries

A three-part webinar series in which we move from basic risks and responsibilities to practical implementation and in-depth coverage of fire tests, scalability, and integration.

How can we create effective conditions for charging electric bike batteries—and what factors need to be considered as the solution scales up, integrates, and operates over time?

This fall, we’re launching a three-part webinar series where we’ll cover everything from basic risks and responsibilities to practical implementation and in-depth topics such as fire testing, scalability, and integration.

Who is the target audience for the series?

is a good fit for you if you work in fields such as:

  • Real Estate and Property Management
  • Work Environment and Fire Safety
  • mobility and sustainability
  • Security and Access Control Systems
  • Charging infrastructure or technical management

This series is suitable for both those who are just beginning to explore the topic and those who are already working with charging infrastructure and want to deepen their knowledge. The webinars can be viewed as a series, but each part can also be watched on its own.

Here's what you'll get

In three sections, you’ll gain a better understanding of, among other things:

  • the risks associated with lithium-ion batteries and how a battery fire can develop
  • what responsibilities different parties have
  • how policy, placement, and user behavior are interconnected
  • how an effective charging solution can be designed
  • how tests and standards should be interpreted
  • what becomes important when scaling, tracking, or integrating the charging infrastructure with other systems

Part 1 – Introduction: Risks, Responsibilities, and Safe Charging
We’ll go over how lithium-ion batteries work, what happens during a battery fire, the relevant regulations and responsibilities, and how a dedicated charging station can create better conditions for safe charging.

Part 2 – Continued: From Policy to a Workable Charging Solution
We’ll examine charging policies, location, access, and various real-world scenarios—from residential properties to workplaces and facilities with multiple user groups.

Part 3 – In-Depth: Testing, Scalability, and Integration
We take an in-depth look at different types of tests and standards, how to interpret test results, and what happens when the charging infrastructure needs to be scaled up. We also examine traceability, data, and integration with systems such as access control systems.
