Swedish-made solutions that grow with demand
The lighting company Leading Light was founded in 2008 in Gothenburg and today supplies Swedish-made products to more than 100 municipalities around the country. From the start, the company has focused on meeting customer needs through continuous product development and close cooperation with Swedish suppliers. The range has grown in line with demand and consists of energy-saving solutions that contribute to a sustainable future.
With rising electricity prices and increased focus on sustainability, the need for energy-efficient and connected lighting solutions is growing. To meet a rapidly changing market, a decisive step was taken two years ago when EWF Eco acquired the innovation-leading company.
- We see an increasing demand for our presence-controlled and connected lighting solutions, and we are at the absolute forefront of development. The fact that we can also offer hybrid solutions powered by both solar and electricity makes us unique in the market," says Niclas Perkman, CEO of Leading Light.
A shared vision - to be a leader in Smart City
Already well established in Scandinavia, EWF Eco is now focusing on further expansion. The goal is to be a player that is recognized and respected for its solutions, products, service and know-how. This vision is shared with Leading Light. Both companies work on innovative products for sustainable urban environments. It's about smarter energy use and solutions that facilitate the daily work of the user, according to Lena Möller CEO of EWF Eco.
Swedish production - a competitive advantage
The fact that Leading Light keeps its production in Sweden is an important differentiating factor. In an industry where many competitors manufacture their luminaires abroad, Leading Light Light stands out by designing, manufacturing and assembling the products at home.
- Our offer is more than smart luminaires and solar lighting, we have for 10 years developed a wireless control system that is suitable for streets, buildings and sports. The control system is developed in close cooperation with several Swedish municipalities and their wishes. When customers choose luminaires, control is a matter of course today, it was not 10 years ago. Our products are right on time to save energy and protect wildlife, says Niclas Perkman, Leading Light.

More efficient production and better allocation of resources
The move not only means that the companies share premises, but it also creates a chance to streamline both production. By utilizing each other's resources, they will have more flexible and cost-effective operations. Production capacity can be shared between the companies during both peak and off-peak periods, allowing resources to be used where they are most useful.
For Leading Light Light, the move is a natural step that provides larger production facilities and more space, making it easier to meet the demand for smart lighting. At the same time, the head office remains in Gothenburg, where development and sales continue - a stable foundation for the company's continued expansion.
Innovation and future plans - next steps
As the companies come closer together, management sees great opportunities for joint product development and innovation. According to Niclas, this is just the beginning:
- We will not stop here. We will continue to develop smart innovations. The future looks bright for the collaboration, and we look forward to the next steps," he said.
Lena also sees great opportunities ahead:
- We are now starting to come together in earnest. This is a new start where we find our synergies and build an even stronger organization together.
With a stronger organization, better service and increased opportunities for innovation, EWF Eco and Leading Light Light are ready for the future - together.
