Central Malmö now gets smart and solar powered trash cans that save transport!
Bigbelly now takes place in central Malmö! The debris that visitors throw in the trash is compressed using solar energy and notifies itself when it's time for emptying. In addition, the vessels are completely closed and therefore prevent pests or the debris from ending up in the canal.
Malmö already has some 20 smart bins from Bigbelly deployed in the city which reduces the number of discharges, increases capacity and saves transport to minimize environmental impact and increase the productivity of the business.
