We are a group of IT students in our second year at Chalmers and as part of our Agile project course we have collaborated with EWF Eco. We have combined different ways of working that are user-oriented and support today's existing ways of working with Bigbelly.
In our study project, we have created a web application that gives the user several different options on how to work, for example where to go from. Based on the Bigbellys REST API, the data is then sent to our application to combine different parameters, thus streamlining the route according to the user's needs. This route is then plotted in our application on a map that the performer can follow via the Google Maps API.
Our goal was to develop an application that made it transparent to reduce transport and carbon emissions. Our application takes into account multiple customised measures along a planned route, based on data entered into the existing system.
We saw an opportunity to share valuable data with these dedicated students and provide the means to drive progress forward. I am incredibly impressed by their dedication and the way they drive the project," says Carina Henriksson at EWF Eco.
