Final laugh! Shut up, shut up! How's it going now? It's Halmstad's new campaign against littering. The aim of the campaign is to highlight the bird problem that exists in the city and how much is linked to the availability of litter.
There are now 3 different messages with different birds, highlighting the problem and distributed on 50 Bigbelly units in the municipality. Shut up, shut up! (1) What about the gulls? (2) Final laugh! (3).
- When we put the rubbish in the barrels, we have less problems with seagulls and turkeys in the city. Thanks for your help! We like seagulls and gulls - no sea feeling without them! But when they are attracted by food and rubbish thrown on the ground, there are problems. If we all help to keep it clean, they'll head for their natural habitats instead. There they thrive better and don't eat discarded food, which in many cases is harmful to them. Thank you for putting your rubbish in the bin - the messages say.
With the help of Bigbelly and nudging, Halmstad can limit access to litter. If we all help to keep it clean, birds will return to their natural habitats.
