Climate investment that exceeds targets
Stockholm City Traffic Office invests additional in 180 solar powered, compressing trash baskets and 10 triple stations for sorting at source from BigBelly . The Swedish Transport Agency has also chosen to invest in EWF's innovative, external grazing station to reduce the rat problem in urban and park environments.
The City of Stockholm, the traffic office and its district administrations have already EWF ECO approximately +400 pcs BigBelly units and has a proven effect on reduced operating costs, transport and the number of discharges, as well as reduced CO2 emissions.
Smarter garbage management
BigBelly is an innovative platform with over 50,000 existing devices in 54 countries that communicate and create a sustainable management of debris in the public space without connection to the power grid. The units report their status and filling level directly to those responsible for more efficient route planning. BigBelly HC has 5-8 times more capacity than a traditional trash basket and gives room for 570 liters of uncompressed debris of the same size. The platform provides added value for both the business, the environment and the visitors.
