Stockholm's busiest street is kept clean, 24 hours a day

Drottninggatan in Stockholm is one of the most visited streets in Stockholm. The result of frequent visits is littering with all that it entails, loose debris on the street, poured-out drinks, pest visits. All this together means that the street requires continuous cleaning.
EWF Eco has for a number of years delivered a large number of smart recycling and waste
traffic office in Stockholm. In December 2016, the Swedish Transport Agency in Stockholm chose to radically change waste management on Drottninggatan, which is one of the most visited streets in Stockholm. Below is a quote from Ninni Taberman, operations engineer at the Traffic Office in Stockholm.

"Along Drottninggatan, between Olof Palmes Gata and Fredsgatan, we removed about 23 trash baskets, Vestre 180 liters. It was made just in time for christmas shopping. During the Christmas shopping season we usually order extra emptying of the trash baskets along Drottninggatan, but I chose not to do so because of the change to Big Belly , to test, and it worked excellently. From the entrepreneurs, it's just praise. Cleaner, less picking cleaning all around, and less trash on the street overall. It has already been stated that it is satisfied that no one can access cans, which were previously picked up and emptied the last out of the ground. We don't have to do that now."

The above quote is one of the many proofs of the usefulness that smart recycling and waste bins with compression make to streets, squares and other open spaces to be free of debris. One effect that is not mentioned is a reduction in pest problems such as rats, birds and wasps, which are often a problem with open vessels.
