In the cityscape, birds disappeared and the streets were cleaner and demanded less maintenance. In them new Bigbelly paper baskets were also installed built-in sound modules that are activated when using the garbage bins to increase interaction with the visitors.
Helsingør has for two years placed 48 pieces of smart Bigbellys that every day helps the municipality to streamline the garbage handling – By increasing capacity and notifying when emptying is to occur. For only two months, Helsingør has collected over 770.000 litres of debris at selected locations in the municipality.
Now put the city in a lot of effort into vulnerable areas. It focuses primarily on large garbage bins in the inner city and on hard-hit community in the suburbs. We have seen that the rats are increasing and have to find other ways to combat the rats. Rats often gravitate to the dumpsters, so now we assemble grazing stations on garbage bins.
